Smith totaled 106 yards and scored two touchdowns on seven receptions in Sunday's 32-31 semi-final loss to the Lions. He also had five yards on his sole rush.

The 25-year-old receiver paced all pass catchers in both receptions and yards on the evening while also scoring two key touchdowns. Smith hauled in a 27-yard pass from the red-hot Matt Nichols in the second quarter to extend Winnipeg's lead to 18-6 at the time, and added a diving score later in the period that build the advantage to a 25-6 margin. Smith wrapped up the regular season with 53 receptions for 488 yards and a sole score while playing a key but largely complementary role in the Blue Bombers offense.

Smith hauled in six passes for 95 yards in Saturday's 36-34 loss to the Stamps.

The 25-year-old was back in the fold after a one-game stay on the injured list due to a thumb injury and responded with a season high in receiving yards and YPC. Smith played an important role in the Bombers' furious second-half comeback, making a spectacular 40-yard catch in a key third-quarter drive and recording his highest amount of receptions since Week 3 versus the Ti-Cats in the process. Following Saturday's production, he's now notched 27 receptions for 295 yards and a Week 3 touchdown in 2016.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

The Blue Bombers placed Smith (arm) on the one-game injured list Wednesday.

Smith will not play Saturday against the Argonauts and could miss further action, but the good news is he was not immediately placed on the six-game injured list, so he should be able to return sooner than he did last time he was placed on the injured list and was sidelined for seven weeks.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Head coach Mike O'Shea said Wednesday that Smith (arm) will likely be out "a couple weeks," Darrin Bauming of TSN 1290 reports.

Smith rejoined the Blue Bombers last week after missing the previous six games, and it appears he is now looking at another multi-week absence. Clarence Denmark, who did not play last week with Smith returning to action, figures to move back into Winnipeg's lineup.

Smith (upper body) took part in Wednesday's practice, Jeff Hamilton of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Smith (upper body) has been placed on the six-game injured list, Kirk Penton of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Smith was originally expected to be out for just a couple of weeks. His next chance to return will be September 10 against Saskatchewan. Thomas Mayo will likely see an increase in production and playing time as a result.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Smith will be out for a couple weeks due to an upper-body injury, Kirk Penton of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Given the two-week timetable regarding Smith's absence, he'll likely miss the Bombers' next two games, with a chance at returning Week 7 against the Tiger-Cats. Thomas Mayo is set to fill in Smith's vacant spot at receiver.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Smith notched 44 yards and a touchdown on his seven receptions in Thursday's 28-24 victory over the Tiger-Cats. He also lost three yards on two rushes.

His "no-look" TD catch was the talk of the night, as Smith inadvertently trapped the ball under his right arm in the second quarter while running a crossing route towards the end zone. The 25-year-old has his Blue Bombers career off to a good start after a productive 2015 campaign with the Roughriders, amassing 16 receptions for 150 yards and Thursday's touchdown over the first three games.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Smith caught five passes for 73 yards in Friday's loss to the Stampeders.

After a quiet Week 1 for Smith, Weston Dressler's (head) absence and a big early deficit combined to give his production a boost. Smith just missed recording his first 1000-yard season in 2015, and with Winnipeg seemingly headed for another campaign in which they play from behind more often than not, he should continue seeing his fair share of targets even if he isn't Drew Willy's top option in the passing game.
